Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of stylescout.life, run by Style Scout ("we", "us"). By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

You upload a photo, and we use automated tools (including third-party AI models) to identify the clothing and accessories in it, then search Amazon for products that match and for cheaper alternatives. We link you to the Amazon product page for each. We don't sell anything ourselves — every purchase happens on Amazon, under its own terms.

You can use the core scanning feature without an account. Creating an account (to sync scans across devices and save a wardrobe) requires accurate information and that you keep your password secure. You're responsible for activity under your account.

You agree not to:

• Upload photos you don't have the right to use, or that are illegal, abusive, or violate someone else's rights;
• Try to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the service;
• Scrape or systematically harvest data from the site outside normal use;
• Use the service to build a competing product without our permission.

The "Shop" links Style Scout shows are Amazon affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission through the Amazon Associates program — at no extra cost to you. This never affects which product we show you as the best match: matches are ranked by how well they match your photo, not by commission rate.

As an Amazon Associate, Style Scout earns from qualifying purchases.

Item identification and product matching are done by AI and automated search — they're usually good, but they will sometimes be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. A "match" is our best guess, not a guarantee that a product is identical to what's in your photo. Prices, availability, sizing, and shipping are set entirely by the retailer and can change after we show them to you — always check the retailer's own page before buying. Nothing on this site is professional styling, sizing, or purchasing advice.

The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't guarantee the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time.

To the extent permitted by law, Style Scout isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or a purchase made on a third-party retailer's site that we linked to. Nothing here limits liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.

We may update the service or these terms as the product evolves. We'll update the date at the top when the terms change; continuing to use the site afterward means you accept the update.

You can stop using the service, or delete your account, at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who violates these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
